  • Palanca Food Pantry at Holy Redeemer Church – We help to provide food, clothing, hygiene items, and a regular hot meal to men, women, and children who are homeless, destitute, or just in need. Contact Christine Pedic at 561-267-1764.
  • Kairos Prison Ministry - The purpose of Kairos is to bring Christ’s love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals and their families, and to assist in their transition to becoming productive citizens. The objective for our volunteers is to develop the ability to follow ministry and institutional guidelines and to share the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
    • We conduct two four-day mission weekends each year, one in April and one in November, to Okeechobee Correctional Institute with the  mission to bring Christ’s love and forgiveness to all.
    • Activities run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, and we gather for a day of planning eight weeks prior to each four-day weekend mission.

We take our faith with us...

When we give to others, we get back so much more. The entire Bible and all of the teachings of Christ can be summed up by saying, “Love God and love your neighbors as yourself.” That’s it. If we’re not doing that, then we’re not walking the talk.
At St. Joe’s Unplugged and St. Joseph’s Church, we are deeply committed to walking the talk… to making a difference in this world. And there’s always so much more we can do. Learn more about how we are reaching out...

We regularly hold mission trips to the Dominican Republic. See photos from a recent trip and consider joining us in the future!

...to our four-legged friends...

The Blessing of the Animals is one of the largest outreaches in this area to our animal friends and their owners. It’s a joyful festival celebrating all of God’s creation and includes an annual service to glorify God and His creatures and, yes, the animals are welcome to come right into church! We need help to organize volunteers in registering, printing certificates, assisting with parking, coordinating visiting animals and beneficiary, and acquiring publicity.

Service times: Flexible pre-planning meeting times
Annual service, usually in September or October
